Reza Pahlavi Calls for Uprising: "The Khamenei Regime Is Near Collapse"

London, June 18, 2025 — Amid escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, a powerful voice from exile has emerged. Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran's last Shah, issued a sharp statement calling on the Iranian people to rise up against the Islamic regime.
“Iranians no longer have to endure dictatorship. The Khamenei regime is collapsing — and we must deliver the blow of freedom,” Pahlavi declared in a special video message published on his official social media channels.
Pahlavi, who resides in the United States, proposed the following actions:
He called the current leadership “illegitimate, bloody, and doomed.”
Though long viewed as a largely symbolic figure, Pahlavi’s statement now resonates strongly against the backdrop of a deepening crisis inside Iran:
Against this backdrop, Pahlavi’s call is seen not merely as exiled rhetoric, but as an attempt to lead a potential new resistance movement.
So far, Iranian officials have not commented on Pahlavi’s statement. However, state television quickly ramped up broadcasts portraying “enemies of the nation” and calling on citizens to rally around the country’s leadership.
