On March 11, the official agency of Armenia Armenpress published a message that on March 10, the leader of the separatists of Karabakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, received a group of servicemen of the N military unit and presented them with "state awards."

It is noteworthy that all the awardees are members of a detachment recognized as terrorist in Azerbaijan. The commander of this detachment, Vova Vartanov, was put on the wanted list and a criminal case was initiated against him under several articles.

During the meeting with these military men, Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to the members of the detachment. According to him, thanks to them, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces were unable to take the village of Krasny Bazar.

Judging by the published photo, at least 10 soldiers received awards. At the same time, the question arises: how were these soldiers allowed into Karabakh by the Russian peacekeepers? Official Baku should raise these questions with the command of the peacekeepers and demand explanations.

It is noteworthy that during the hostilities in Karabakh, Vartanov's battalion (350 people) was transferred from a volunteer detachment to the staff of the Armenian Armed Forces. This military unit received a separate number.

* On November 3, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan called the VOMA organization and its leader Vova Vartanov terrorists fighting in Karabakh on the side of the Armenians.

It was established that the members of the said organization participated in terrorist activities against the citizens of Azerbaijan, committed numerous crimes in various regions of Azerbaijan, carried out explosions, fires or other actions with particular cruelty.

On the fact, the General Prosecutor of Azerbaijan opened a criminal case under Articles 100.2 (waging an aggressive war), 120.2.1 (premeditated murder committed by a criminal organization or community), 279.3 (creation of armed formations not provided for by law), 318.2 (illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan) and other articles of the country's Criminal Code, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.

In turn, the Armenians claim that VOMA is just a military-patriotic association engaged in the education of young people.
