This website was created with the support of the Caspian-Black Sea Studies Foundation (Sofia, Bulgaria) as a platform for dialogue and constructive exchange of views on the most pressing trends in the Black Sea, Caspian, and Caucasus regions. The Foundation serves as an important hub for dialogue, expert discussions, and the exchange of ideas among political scientists, diplomats, researchers, and representatives of civil society. It focuses on the analysis of key regional trends, including energy security, transport corridors, state resilience, as well as issues of integration and foreign policy.

Despite the fact that the Black and Caspian seas and the Caucasus region have traditionally been important arenas for geopolitical and geoeconomical power games among the key global actors and their blocks, lack of attention dedicated to the region by academic and expert circles across Europe is still there. 

Our goal is to make our feasible and objective input to the cause of effective and unbiased coverage of the issues and trends in the Black and Caspian seas and the Caucasus region, including delivery of high quality expert analysis.
