A threat of a drone attack has been declared in the Astrakhan region

An attack threat by drones has been declared in Akhtubinsk, located in the Astrakhan region. This was reported by the head of the city, Alexander Sivakov, on his Telegram channel. "Attention! There is a danger of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles," his message, posted at 2:45 AM Moscow time, reads.
Sivakov urged local residents to remain calm and seek shelter in safe places. Earlier, the Telegram channel Baza reported that drones had attempted to attack an oil refinery in Volgograd.
According to preliminary data, debris did not damage the refinery, and it continues to operate. According to the Telegram channel Mash, about 50 explosions occurred in Volgograd overnight as a result of a drone attack, presumably by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Local residents noted that the drones flew very low — about 300 meters above the rooftops.
Drone attacks on Russian regions began in 2022 amid the special military operation in Ukraine. While Kyiv has not officially confirmed its involvement, in August 2023, the advisor to the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Mykhailo Podolyak, stated that the number of drone strikes on Russia would increase.
