Overchuk: Azerbaijan has confirmed possibility of transiting Russian goods to Armenia

Russian Railways is currently discussing with regional partners the organizing of the transit of Russian goods through Azerbaijan to Armenia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk has announced, TASS reports.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that Baku had lifted the restrictions on the transit of goods through its territory to Armenia. “The Azerbaijani side has confirmed that it is possible to use Azerbaijan’s railways to transport Russian products through its territory to Armenia. In this regard, we have made very interesting progress.
Russian Railways, together with its regional partners, is now resolving the matters of organizing these transportations. At the same time, relevant instructions have been given to the Ministry of Agriculture to develop this new logistical route,” Overchuk noted.
