Ankara calls for an urgent meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group countries
Turkey calls on to hold an urgent meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group to discuss the situation around the Karabakh conflict, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated in Ankara on Tuesday.
“It is necessary to hold a meeting in the 9 + 2 format. This proposal has been made today. The co-chairs should report to the Minsk Group and clarify what has been done so far and what has not, why the conflict has not been resolved, "he said.
The only way to resolve the Karabakh conflict is the withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan. Only in this case it will be possible to speak of a real desire of the international community for a settlement.
* The Minsk Group is co-chaired by Russia, France and the United States.
In addition to them, the Minsk Group includes Belarus, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland and Turkey, as well as Armenia and Azerbaijan.
