The United States will no longer retreat from Russia's aggressive actions - Biden
US President Joe Biden has said that Washington will no longer give in to aggressive actions by Russia and called on the Kremlin to release opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
Biden said this during a speech at the State Department, presenting his vision of US foreign policy.
"I have made it clear to President Putin in a manner very different from my predecessor that the days when the United States retreated amid Russia's aggressive actions - interference in our elections, cyberattacks, poisoning of its citizens - are over. We will without hesitation raise the price for Russia and will to protect our vital interests and our people. And we will be more effective in our relations with Russia if we work in coalition and in coordination with other like-minded partners", - Biden informed.
He also called on the Kremlin to release opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
"Navalny's imprisonment for political reasons and Russia's efforts to suppress freedom of expression and peaceful assembly are of deep concern to us and the international community. Navalny, like all Russian citizens, has rights under the Russian constitution. He has been targeted for exposing corruption. He must be released immediately and without any conditions", - Biden stated.
