Section 907 is "under review" - Blinken

The top U.S. diplomat told the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday that the Section 907, which has been waived annually since 2002, is currently "under review",
TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
"907, as you know, is an annual decision. We have an interagency review going on. That review is underway," Secretary Antony Blinken said in response to questions from the committee chair Senator Bob Menendez
The Biden Administration waived Section 907 last year on April 29, according to official records.
Speaking about the Administration's efforts on Nagorno-Karabakh issue, Blinken said, he has been "very actively and directly engaged with leadership in both Armenia and Azerbaijan, including just as recently as a week ago, [I had] phone calls with Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev, as well as their FMs, trying to help advance the prospects for a long-term political settlement with regard to Nagorno-Karabakh."
"We've been developing and promoting various confidence building measures," the diplomat said.
"We've been trying to push back on any unilateral actions, particularly by Azerbaijan, that would only inflame the situation. And we have a number of programs in place that are part of the budget to try to help advance more peaceful prospects", Blinken added.
"So that's very much on my agenda" he concluded..
