Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan Conduct Cyber Operations During the Power of Unity – 2026 Exercise

Military cybersecurity specialists from Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan conducted joint cyber operations as part of the multinational “Power of Unity – 2026” military exercise held in Azerbaijan.

The practical phase of the exercise took place at the “Gizilgaya” Training Center, where military personnel from the three countries operated as a joint cyber operations group within a unified command structure.

According to the exercise scenario, the cyber operations unit carried out tasks aimed at preventing cyberattacks by illegal armed groups, as well as ensuring the security of the information and communication systems of the military units participating in the exercise.

Particular attention during the training was focused on maintaining the resilience of information infrastructure under tactical conditions. Military cybersecurity specialists practiced measures to protect communication systems and information resources while supporting the operational activities of units on the battlefield.

The inclusion of a dedicated cyber operations component demonstrates that within “Power of Unity – 2026”, cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan extends beyond traditional ground-force training to include the protection of digital infrastructure and information systems.
