Georgia invites Azerbaijan, Armenia to hold talks in Tbilisi

Georgia is ready to help in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Georgian authorities offered Armenia and Azerbaijan to hold talks in Tbilisi.
It is in our common interest to establish peace in the region as soon as possible. Georgia is ready to contribute to this process in any format, including holding a meeting of the parties’ representatives to the conflict to conduct a dialogue in Tbilisi, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said.
He noted that a difficult situation had been created due to the military confrontation between Yerevan and Baku. There are many victims, and there is no suspension of hostilities, he added.
Gakharia noted that further escalation of the situation would negatively affect the security of the entire region.
Intense shelling has been underway in the territory of the unrecognized republic since the morning of September 27. Yerevan and Baku blame each other for the attacks and provocations. Within that period, Pashinyan has called Russian President Vladimir Putin two times. Kremlin’s official stance remains the same: parties should end hostilities immediately.
NEWS.ru reported earlier that Russian President Vladimir Putin and French leader Emmanuel Macron had discussed the escalation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone in a phone call.
