Armenian, Russian DMs discuss issue of return of captives during phone conversation

Armenian defense minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan had a phone conversation with the Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu.
During the phone talk the ministers of the two countries discussed the ongoing issues of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector, referred to the operative situation in Nagorno Karabakh, issues on return of the captives and hostages and on search works of the missing.
Armenian minister expressed gratitude to his Russian counterpart for the effective activity of the Russian peacekeeping troops in Nagorno Karabakh and essential assistance in the solution of security issues by deploying Russian border guards in Armenia’s Syunik province.
The ministers also exchanged ideas over the recent military-political developments in the region.
