Baku confirms, “Iskander M” missile shot at Shusha

The head of the Operational Headquarters of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Idris Imaylov confirmed on Friday that the missile debris found on March 15 in Shusha belong to the “Iskander-M” operational-tactical complex. At a press briefing, he said that the index - 9M723 was found in the debris of the missiles. "The analysis confirmed that it was the “Iskander-M complex," Ismayilov said, adding that research in the area where the missiles fell was continuing.
Russia officially supplied Armenia with the “Iskander-E” complex in 2016. This modification of the complex has a limited firing range - up to 280 km.
“Iskander-M” was not officially supplied by Russia abroad, but these complexes are at the 102-Russian base in Gyumri in Armenia. Thus, it turns out that a missile strike was struck on the territory of Azerbaijan by the Russian military from a base in Armenia.
The flaring up scandal could seriously spoil relations between Baku and Moscow and affect the presence of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.
* The “Iskander-M” missiles fly at an altitude of up to 50 km and can bypass the missile defense system. These missiles have a range of 500 km., and can be supplied with charges of various types, up to nuclear warheads.
