Kocharyan to lead Reviving Armenia-ARF bloc in snap elections
The Reviving Armenia party on Thursday announced its decision to form an alliance with the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, Dashnaktsutyun) party for the upcoming snap parliamentary elections, with Armenia’s former President Robert Kocharyan set to lead the bloc.
“Taking into account the desperate situation in Armenia and Artsakh and due to the need to unite with ideological and like-minded political forces, the Reviving Armenia party has decided to run in the snap parliamentary elections with an electoral alliance with the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, which will be led by second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan,” the party said in a statement.
The early elections are expected to be held on June 20.
