Azerbaijan intends to normalize relations with Armenia

Azerbaijan is committed to normalizing relations with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, noting that Baku has made a corresponding proposal to Yerevan.
The minister recalled that this position has been repeatedly expressed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. "Azerbaijan, based on the norms and principles of international law, respect for territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of internationally recognized borders, advocates the normalization of relations (with Armenia - ed.) And a proposal has been made in this direction," he said.
The minister stressed that there is no alternative to cooperation in the region.
