Azerbaijan and Armenia should set cartographic basis for border delimitation – Pashinyan

The trilateral meeting with the head of the European Council Charles Michel and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels produced no results to overcome the blockade of the Lachin corridor and the humanitarian crisis, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today.
"This meeting, unfortunately, did not give any concrete result in terms of overcoming the blockade of the Lachin corridor and the humanitarian crisis," Pashinyan was quoted as saying by the Novosti-Armenia news agency.
At the same time, he noted that the issue of "rights and security" of the Armenian residents of Karabakh should be resolved through the Khankendi-Baku dialogue.
"Our conviction has been and continues to be that this dialogue cannot be effective without international involvement and mechanisms," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, he noted that mutual recognition by Azerbaijan and Armenia of each other's territorial integrity in 29,800 and 86,600 km2, respectively, was confirmed in Brussels. "The delimitation of borders should be carried out on the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991. In the near future, we must specify the cartographic basis for the delimitation work," Pashinyan said.
