Trammo Inc to invest $ 20 million in Georgia for construction of new terminal in Batumi port
Archil Talakvadze, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, has met with the Executive Director and the members of the Governing Board of the American Corporation Trammo. The meeting was held in New York, as InterPressNews was informed by the Parliament of Georgia.
Trammo will invest $ 20 million in Georgia and build a new terminal in the Batumi port, which will connect the Asian and European markets via the Batumi port.
According to the information, provided by the Parliament of Georgia, at the meeting the Speaker talked about the investment environment, strategic cooperation with the US, standards of protection of property rights and reforms implemented in Georgia.
“Trammo CEO Edward Weiner said that the decision was made to invest because of Georgia's geostrategic position, attractive business environment and stable governance of the country. According to Forbes, Trammo ranks 58th in the list of the largest companies of the US,” reads the press release.
