Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan Sergey Lavrov, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Jeyhun Bayramov discussed, in the Kazakh capital Astana, the joint efforts to normalize Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, according to the Russian foreign ministry.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to comprehensively adhere to all provisions of the statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia on November 9, 2020, and January 11 and November 26, 2021.
Tangible remarks were made within the framework of the trilateral working group co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia on the matters of unblocking regional economic and transport links, within the framework of the work on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border—and with the consultative support of Russia, as well as within the framework of dialogue between public representatives and experts of the three countries.
Special attention was paid to the process of negotiations on the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
An agreement was reached to continue trilateral contacts at various levels in the near future.
