Armenia can’t decide the fate of NK people, NK representatives should bear the political responsibility - Pashinyan

Our position is that Armenia cannot decide the fate of the people of Nagorno Karabakh, it is the representatives of Nagorno Karabakh that should bear the political responsibility, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference today.
"The representatives of Nagorno Karabakh should be part of negotiations, part of the dialogue, and we are promoting exactly this agenda, bearing in mind that the rights and security of the people of Nagorno Karabakh should be discussed with the participation of the representatives of Nagorno Karabakh, in the format of the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue, within the framework of the international mechanism,” he said.
“I think that the representatives of Nagorno Karabakh, the people, the government, will have the opportunity to address all the issues that concern them within the framework of this formula and not only raise questions, not only generate content, but also – which is very important – bear the political responsibility related to that content. That is the right way to go," he added.
Asked whether Armenia can make any changes in the agenda of the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations regarding Artsakh, Pashinyan responded. "I have stated before that it is a matter of thinking whether there should be a reference to Nagorno Karabakh in a potential peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, i.e. a comprehensive solution, or whether the issues related to the rights and security of the people of Nagorno Karabakh should be addressed to a different logic. We do not have a decision on this matter. This does not mean that we do not have a position."
