Aliyev-Pashinyan meeting in Brussels will not take place
The meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan planned for the end of October will not take place. This was reported to the Armenian service of Radio Liberty by the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar.
According to him, the meeting will not take place "due to lack of time." Klaar also noted that Brussels continues to work on the organisation of such a meeting.
As a reminder, earlier it was reported that the Aliyev-Pashinyan-Michel meeting would be held on 25 October. According to EU sources, Baku and Yerevan agreed to the meeting.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the EU Council is opening in Brussels. In his address to its participants, President Charles Michel noted that the situation in the South Caucasus will also be among the issues to be discussed.
