We must accept defeat and establish diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan - Andranik Kocharyan

It is necessary to be honest and fully and responsibly accept defeat in the Karabakh war, Andranik Kocharyan, chair of the commission on defense and national security, member of the ruling My Step faction, said in a speech in parliament.
“We lost both on the battlefield, both morally and psychologically. It is necessary to get out of this situation as soon as possible. It is necessary to try to start a dialogue with the winning side, however difficult it may be. The establishment of diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan may change the expected prospects,” Kocharian said. According to him, diplomacy should be based on an assessment of all economic, military, moral, and psychological risks.
“An effective solution to the security and defense problems of Armenia will become the basis for economic development and reforms. Economic policy can be based around reforming the army and building security,” Kocharian was quoted by the Aysor website.
