Cavusoglu to discuss with Lavrov the security of Azerbaijan's borders
On Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that he would discuss the security of Azerbaijan’s borders with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov at a meeting in Sochi.
He said that Turkey cooperates with Russia in many areas, although sometimes the positions of the parties do not coincide. According to him, the positions of Moscow and Ankara do not coincide on Syria and Libya, but cooperation continues.
“We will also discuss the topic of Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is necessary that the security of Azerbaijan's borders be ensured within the framework of international law. In this matter, we will consider the steps that will need to be taken, "Cavusoglu said at a press conference in Ankara.
Cavusoglu will visit Sochi on December 29 to participate in the eighth meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group, operating within the framework of the Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council of the highest level, reported in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
