Natia Turnava: Unfortunately, the second wave, which was expected by epidemiologists around the world, has already started in Georgia

"Unfortunately, the second wave, suggested by epidemiologists around the world, has already started in Georgia", - said Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, after the government session.
According to the Minister, everything is being done to eliminate the need for strict restrictions, because "our economy can no longer withstand this".
"The government did everything possible to control the epidemiological situation from the very first day. We certainly can not promise the population that the coronavirus will disappear, it is impossible yet, but what we have promised is that we will learn to coexist despite the pandemic and that is what we are doing. We are doing our best to avoid large restrictive measures as we have already done once. Our economy, of course, can no longer withstand such blow. Therefore, thanks to the targeted measures and also the professionalism of our medical staff, we hope to go through this process relatively painlessly, "- said Turnava.
