Armenian FM briefs top EU official on recent developments in Karabakh conflict zone
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsaknayan on Saturday held a phone conversation with Josep Borrel, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
Mnatsakanyan briefed Borrel on the recent developments of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict zone. The foreign minister informed the top EU official about the deliberate targeting of peaceful settlements and civilian infrastructure, using weapons of different calibers, resulting in human losses and destruction
The Armenian FM expressed his deep concern over Turkey's direct involvement in the Azerbaijani aggression, including through the deployment of foreign terrorist fighters into Azerbaijan, which bears the threat of undermining the regional security and escalating into a full-scale regional war.
