Vladimir Putin appointed head of Russia's State Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the composition of the State Council, according to the decree published today on the official legal information website.
"In accordance with parts 1 and 2 of Article 9 of the Federal Law of December 8, 2020 No. 394-FZ 'On the State Council of the Russian Federation', to approve the attached composition of the State Council of the Russian Federation," the decree says.
The decree comes into force on December 21.
According to the approved composition, Vladimir Putin is the chairman of the State Council. The State Council also includes governors, speakers of the State Duma and the Federation Council, plenipotentiaries, leaders of parliamentary parties.
