Bulgaria supports North Macedonia's EU and NATO membership bid, but not unconditionally

Bulgarian National Assembly President Tsveta Karayancheva, who attended the ratification of North Macedonia’ protocol on accession to NATO membership said Bulgaria would continue to support North Macedonia on its path towards Euro-Atlantic membership, but not unconditionally, BNR reports.
She has made it clear that the major condition was keeping good neighborly relations without using anti-Bulgarian rhetoric. During her visit to Skopje, Karayancheva met with the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski and the Speaker of the North Macedonian Parliament, Talat Xhaferi.
