Iran should express a stance on Artsakh, says Armenian parliament speaker

At a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Zohouri today, President of Armenian National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan has noted that Iran cannot refrain from expressing its stance on Artsakh.
“It should be taken into account that other countries of the region were actively involved to the benefit of Azerbaijan both before and during the hostilities,” Mirzoyan said, as reported by the National Assembly’s press service.
Touching on the agreements indicated in the trilateral statement, Ararat Mirzoyan has underlined as the priority the urgent return of POWs and other captured individuals on the basis of “all for all” principle.
Ambassador Zohouri has reiterated Iranian FM Mohammad Zarif’s previously expressed stance that the issue of POWs must be resolved swiftly.
