Uzbekistan receives 4 attack/transport helicopters from Russia
The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan received 4 helicopters Mi-35M from Russia, AKIpress reports.
The Novoya Gazeta reported earlier four Mi-35M helicopters will be delivered to Uzbekistan in the fourth quarter of 2019 and 8 more by 2020.
The Mi-35M transport/attack helicopter is is designed to provide fire support to ground forces, conduct armed air escort of military columns on the march, airlift paratroopers and evacuate the wounded, carry cargo both inside the cabin and externally.
The Mi-35M can be used in attack, troop-carrying, transport and ambulance (medevac) versions.
