Viacheslav Volodin: Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have always had good relationship

We need to be guided by the value of peace and dialogue between states, Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin said today in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza, answering a question about Russian policy towards post-war processes in Nagorno-Karabakh and around it.
"Our country is pursuing a very balanced policy, and this policy is based on respect for all partners which are building relations with us today. The principles of friendship and dialogue are important for us," Viacheslav Volodin said.
In this regard, the Chairman of the State Duma noted the friendly relations between the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan. "As for contacts with Ilham Aliyev, he and Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin have always had a good relationship," he said.
"In general, there are different situations - but the main thing is nothing is more important than peace and everything must be done to maintain it," Viacheslav Volodin concluded.
