Armenia’s membership to CSTO place significant limitations on U.S. military aid provided to the country – U.S. Ambassador

Armenia’s membership to the CSTO place significant limitations on military aid the USA provides, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy said in an interview with RFE/RL Armenian Service.
“With respect to U.S. military aid to Armenia, I just need to remind you that Armenia is a member of the CSTO. It is not an organization that the United States is a party to and so that membership that Armenia has in the CSTO does place a very significant limitations on military aid that we can provide,” the Ambassador said.
In terms of military sales and aid there are some limitations because of Armenia’s membership to the CSTO, the Ambassador noted.
