Russia FM: Nagorno-Karabakh status issue has yet to be agreed upon

The issue of status of Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] should be agreed upon with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, but now the focus should be on the return to peaceful life in the region. The statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, TASS reports.
"I realize that many are now talking about the fact that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh remains unresolved. The issue of Nagorno-Karabakh's status should be agreed upon with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, who should now assist in strengthening confidence-building measures, resolving humanitarian issues so that Armenians and Azerbaijanis live together again in conditions of safety and economic prosperity. And then, I assure all the status issues will be easier to resolve in 2-3 years," Lavrov said.
