Ukraine may see some quarantine easing as early as mid-April
Authorities are considering a phased mitigation of quarantine, which is expected to start as early as April 14, according to draft resolution of the National Security and Defense Council, Sonya Koshkina, editor-in-chief at LB.ua, reports, according to UNIAN.
According to this plan, small shops with an area of up to 400 square meters, as well as all hardware and gardening stores, regardless of the area, will reopen in April, LB.ua wrote.
From May 1, other stores, shopping centers, barbershops, restaurants, and beauty salons are also expected to reopen.
This will be followed by a resumption of the educational process in schools. The NSDC does not intend to reopen Ukraine's border yet, journalists note. Easter celebration will not be banned.
At the same time, the current restrictions do not allow guest visits to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
