Turkey closes Bosphorus to Russian warships - Zelensky
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Turkey had closed the passage of Russian warships to the Black Sea. He wrote about this on his Twitter account.
"Thanks to our friend, Mr. President Erdogan and the Turkish people for their powerful support. The ban on the passage of Russian warships to the Black Sea and significant military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine are extremely important today," the president stressed.
Zelensky stressed that the Ukrainian people will never forget this.
Earlier, Russia announced that it had closed the Ukrainian Black Sea coast in connection with "a counter-terrorist operation."
Turkish media have not yet confirmed this message. An official statement from the Anadolu Agency said Erdogan condemned Russia's attack on Ukraine. He stated that he is making efforts to resolve the situation.
Note that if the message is confirmed, that the Russian group in the Mediterranean will be cut off from the base in Sevastopol.
