Macron: France supports positive dynamics in process of normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku
France supports the positive dynamics in the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, French President Emmanuel Macron said.
The remarks came in the French leader's congratulatory message to Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, and were published by the press service of the Azerbaijani President.
The French President reiterated France's unwavering commitment to the negotiations on a peace agreement and the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
He said that he supported the positive momentum that had emerged in recent months in establishing direct contacts between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the level of foreign ministers, as well as in the creation of a bilateral commission on border issues.
Macron also highlighted the importance of creating an atmosphere of trust for building peace in the region.
