Armenia FM and US Assistant Secretary of State discuss regional security issues

The Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried had a phone conversation on regional security and stability issues.
The conversation took place on the initiative of the American side.
Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan to his interlocutor. The sides touched upon the unblocking of regional transport infrastructures and economic ties, the work of border demarcation and security commissions.
The sides exchanged views on the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Tbilisi, which was organized by the Georgian side on Saturday. Ararat Mirzoyan underlined that the Armenian side continues to consider important the role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the co-chairing countries in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
