Azerbaijani army takes strategically important height on border under control
As a result of a 7-hour military operation carried out by the units of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, 100 square km of territory were liberated on the not delimited section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
The strategic importance of the liberated territories is as important as the size of the land swathes from where the Armenian forces were ousted. Now the Azerbaijani military is at a stone's throw from Istisu, the favorite resort of the Armenian military-political elite in Western Azerbaijan. The strategic Iravan-Gorus highway came under direct fire control of the Azerbaijani forces, Caliber.Az reports.
