Ebrahim Raisi: Iran is ready for comprehensive deepening of relations with Armenia, using common historical border
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi sent congratulatory messages to the president and prime minister of Armenia on the occasion of the country's Independence Day.
In his messages Raisi noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches special importance to relations with the countries of the Caucasus region, including friendly Armenia.
Iran is ready for a comprehensive deepening of relations with Armenia on the basis of mutual interests, using the common historical border, he added.
Stressing Iran's principled approach in supporting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighboring countries, Raisi stressed the importance of constant consultations on issues of mutual interest.
He expressed hope that Iran and Armenia would strengthen bilateral relations in accordance with the interests of the two nations, building on longstanding ties.
