Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin arrived on a visit to the capital of Azerbaijan.

At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where the state flags of the two countries fluttered, the speaker was met by the First Deputy Chairperson of the Milli Majlis Ali Huseynli, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbul oglu, the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov and other officials.

Earlier it was reported that during his visit, Volodin would meet with the head of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova.

It should be added that this is the second official trip of the Chairman of the State Duma to Azerbaijan. His first visit in the country was in 2018. Then he had meetings with the President of the Republic Ilham Aliyev and Sahiba Gafarova, where the parties discussed bilateral cooperation, interaction on international platforms, and convergence of national legislations.
