Sergey Lavrov to visit Yerevan
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Yerevan on November 22-23 to participate in CSTO events, deputy head of the information and press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Ivan Nechayev stated.
According to him, the Minister will participate in the joint session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of CSTO Security Councils.
The event will take place in Yerevan ahead of a regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
Views will be exchanged on the military and political situation in the regions of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and on the activities of the organization during the inter-sessional period. Participants of the meeting will consider a solid package of decisions related to foreign policy, military and anti-terrorist cooperation within the framework of the organization. Nechayev noted that it is planned to approve a number of documents, including the final declaration to be submitted for approval by the CSTO Collective Security Council.
