Minister Jabbarov: Azerbaijani loses AZN120-150 million daily
Daily losses of the country's economy reach 120-150 million manat, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said on April 25 at a briefing by the Operational Headquarters of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turan reports. As a result of downtime, even large enterprises can face problems, he noted.
From April 27, Azerbaijan will begin to partially mitigate the quarantine regime. However, the Coronavirus threat will affect the situation for a long time, said Jabbarov.
He did not rule out that with the re-introduction of quarantine measures, the loss of entrepreneurs will be more widespread, including bankruptcy.
The Minister promised state support to entrepreneurs in April and May in the form of credit and tax breaks.
In turn, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alekperov said that for the payment of unemployment benefits of 190 manat, the presence of a taxpayer identification code (TIN) does not matter. According to him, cases of refusal on this basis can be considered in the case of citizens’ applications.
