Deputy Assistant US Secretary Erika Olson in Baku
Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Erika Olson will travel to Azerbaijan April 19-21. During her visit to Baku, Deputy Secretary Olson will meet with President Ilham Aliyev and other government officials, reads a press release by the US Embassy to Azerbaijan.
“Deputy Assistant Secretary Olson will emphasize that the United States is committed to promoting a peaceful, democratic, and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region. During her visit to the region, she is also traveling to Armenia and Georgia and is meeting with key stakeholders to support the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and build on the meeting between Secretary Blinken, Armenia’s Prime Minister, and Azerbaijan’s President at the Munich Security Conference on February 18, and the Secretary’s phone calls with the leaders in March”, - reads the press release.
