Armenian actor Samvel Sargsyan dies at 68
Famous Armenian stage and film actor Samvel Sargsyan has passed away at the age of 68, the Armenian Union of Theater Workers broke the news on Tuesday
“It's with deep sorrow that we announce the death of actor Samvel Sargsyan,” it said in a statement.
“We extend our deep condolences to S. Sargsyan's family and colleagues," the union added.
The actor would have turned 68 in just a few days.
Sargsyan appeared in numerous plays and films. He worked at Yerevan’s Gabriel Sundukyan State Academic Theater for eight years in 1990s.
In 2014, he was awarded a gold medal by the Armenian Ministry of Culture.
