Azerbaijan MFA unhappy with France armored vehicles’ delivery to Armenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan is disgruntled by the delivery of French “Bastion” armored vehicles to Armenia.
Aykhan Hajizada, spokesperson of Azerbaijan MFA, stated that such steps by France “put under serious question the efforts for normalization of relations based on the respect for and recognition of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and international borders of countries in the region, thus serving to destabilization of the situation."
Also, Hajizada accused France of "smearing campaign and destructive actions…against Azerbaijan in the region."
"These steps, which add to the militarization policy of Armenia, attests to the fact of France’s erroneous interests in the region,” he added.
The Azerbaijan MFA spox stated that “Armenia and France should end armament and militarization policy in the region.”
Until now, Yerevan has not officially provided details about the delivery of French defense equipment to Armenia.
