Armenian parliament speaker hails 'productive' talks with U.S. officials
Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan described his meeting with a U.S. congressional delegation led by Senator Roger Wicker as “very productive”.
Speaking at a news conference in Yerevan on Friday, Simonyan said they discussed the Armenia-U.S. partnership and the regional situation, including the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations and the U.S. support for it.
"Armenian-Turkish relations were also touched upon. I addressed the issue of Armenian prisoners of war," Simonyan said.
The speaker highlighted the U.S. congressional delegation’s visit as a key component of high-level relations between the two countries.
