Georgian MIA detains one for illegal purchase, possession of firearms and hostage-taking on Georgia-Azerbaijani conditional border

The Georgian Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has detained a citizen of Georgia for the illegal purchase, possession of firearms and hostage-taking on Georgia-Azerbaijani conditional border, Agenda.ge reports with reference MIA.
The MIA said that Georgian citizens identified only as G.I. threatened a Georgian border guard by using firearms and a hand grenade and forced him to move towards the conditional border.
The MIA reports that the incident is over and an investigation is underway.
Georgia and Azerbaijani have not been agreed on the state border since the collapse of Soviet Union in 1991.
The Georgian-Azerbaijani commission working on the demarcation of the state border has met several times.
