Prime Minister Gakharia: Noble Partner 2020 clear example of support from our strategic partner and our common aspirations

According to Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, exercises are the most important component of the Georgian army that will help Georgia achieve Euro-Atlantic integration. As the Prime Minister said at the opening ceremony of the Noble Partner 2020 multinational exercise, the knowledge that will be gained by soldiers of different nationalities as part of this exercise should be used to establish global peace.
"Noble Partner 2020 is an important continuation of the cycle of exercises and it is one of the most important tools for the readiness of our country's defense forces and their compatibility with our partners. We all need to understand that this is another clear example of support from our strategic partner and our common aspirations.
When I see up to 2,800 servicemen here, I can imagine how effective and worthy their joint exercises will be. Of course, we have to thank our partners, first of all, the United States, France, Great Britain and Poland, as we all understand that we must use the knowledge that our soldiers will acquire during this exercise to build global peace.
Exercise is the most important component of our army to achieve Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration. We all understand that we must improve the conditions of our soldiers, their equipment and well-being day by day, and we must all understand that such exercises are a guarantee of peace for every citizen of Georgia and the state of our country.
In addition, you all know that the Georgian Armed Forces are actively participating in various peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the European Union, as well as the United States and our international partners, and we all understand that Georgia's role in global peace must be further strengthened," Gakharia said.
The PM added that the exercises were not directed against anyone.
"These exercises are aimed at increasing Georgia's defense capabilities and this is the responsibility of every citizen and soldier of Georgia. Thank you for a worthy service," Gakharia said.
