Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia is arrested
The court has granted the investigator's motion to arrest Vahagn Vermishyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia, the National Security Service (NSS) informed NEWS.am.
As reported earlier, within the framework of a criminal case initiated by the NSS into taking large-scale bribe, the crime suspects were apprehended, two of them—including the chairman of the aforementioned committee—were detained.
Moreover, while being questioned as a suspect, this bribe-taking official confessed to committing the crime.
The investigation is still in progress.
