State Department spox: US has never tied Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty to COP29

The US has never tied the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty to the COP29 summit to be held in Azerbaijan. Matthew Miller, Spokesperson of the US Department of State, announced this at Tuesday’s Department press briefing.
"We [i.e. the US] wanted to see a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan months ago and have been pushing for a peace agreement, ultimately hoped to get one over the line. But that’s up to the two parties, not the United States," Miller added.
