Political analyst: Azerbaijan sitting on the twine

Political analyst Stepan Danielyan has weighed in on the latest developments regarding the Ukraine conflict.
In a social media post on Monday, he pointed out Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s statement supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity for a “fair settlement of the conflict”.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry criticized Turkey for continuing to supply weapons to Ukraine, while the Russian president made it clear that he would not agree to any interim solution,” Danielyan wrote.
“Azerbaijan has concluded strategic agreements with Russia, and in the communiqué signed with the Caspian littoral states, it has clearly undertaken commitments which would contradict the Shushi Declaration in case of problems in Russian-Turkish or Turkish-Iranian relations.
“Azerbaijan is sitting on the twine, and it remains unclear how it will be able to rise again in a complicated situation,” the analyst said.
