Ceasefire Agreement in the Black Sea Between Russia and Ukraine

The White House has announced that an agreement has been reached between Russia and Ukraine to cease the use of force in the Black Sea. This agreement was achieved after three days of negotiations in Saudi Arabia, mediated by the United States. It is aimed at ensuring safe navigation and preventing the use of commercial vessels for military purposes.
Ukraine has expressed its readiness to immediately comply with the terms of the agreement, while Russia conditions its implementation on the lifting of sanctions against Russian banks and their reconnection to the SWIFT system.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that these negotiations are preliminary steps toward ending the three-year war and achieving peace.
Additionally, the issue of halting strikes on both countries' energy infrastructure was discussed. While a comprehensive peace agreement has not yet been reached, the United States continues to make efforts to facilitate a partial ceasefire and humanitarian measures, including prisoner exchanges.
