Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili appeals to the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili appealed to the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, stating that she is ready to organize in Tbilisi a platform for holding negotiations in any format to resolve the Karabakh conflict.
"I want to appeal to the presidents and authorities of both countries [Armenia and Azerbaijan] in order to restore dialogue between them as soon as possible and call them to de-escalate and ceasefire. We are ready to make this country, Tbilisi, a place where any negotiations are possible. We are ready for whatever the parties wish, "Zurabishvili said on Saturday at a briefing after the meeting of the National Security Council on the Karabakh conflict.
The President also addressed the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, noting that their role in the conflict settlement is high. She also asks the EU to intervene in what is happening and promote the ceasefire, since all three countries in the Caucasus are participants in the Eastern Partnership program. "Our stability, peace in this region are of interest to the European Union. It must use its forces for the sake of peace and de-escalation of the situation," the head of state added.
